Sun, Snow, Treadmills, and Pad Thai

SUN(SET)
The sunset on our last night in Naples
SNOWOur house the day we left for Florida, I suspect it will look the same when we get home.

TREADMILL

The hotel we are at has the coolest treadmills ever, I promise if I had one of these at home I would use it everyday.* It has a built in TV on the monitor and you can plug your headphones into it to listen to the TV or you can connect your ipod to it. It also has three buttons below the TV screen that say walk/jog/run and you can set them to whatever speed you like then during your workout you can switch back and forth between speeds with the touch of a button. Perfect for the c25k interval training. It has some other very cool features, but those are the two that make me want to buy one. So yes, this means I got all 3 runs in for the week.

*I am safe making this promise because I know I will never convince Todd to buy me one. The home version cost $7,999.

PAD THAI

We are having Thai food for the 3rd time on this trip, I think it is my favorite food. There isn't a Thai restaraunt anywhere near where we live, so I am getting as much of it on this trip as I can talk Todd into. Plus it makes good take out which we seem to be doing a lot of on this trip.

That sunset is just breathtaking, I can only imagine what it must have looked like being there.
I love Thai too, we have two Thai restaurants here in Tahoe.

I enjoy Thai food also. I tried it for the first time when we were in Rochester for two weeks. I also tried Indian food which I liked equally.

Mom likes Thai and Indian food??? I'm surprised.

Also, jealous. The sunset looks gorgeous. And, just so you know, you're probably coming home to MORE snow than you left. And it's very, very cold. Sorry.

My week has been crazy. I'll tell you about it when you get home. I have NOT gotten my c25k stuff in. Maybe #2 tonight. I'm going to really try.

Oh hey I didn't know you went to Naples! We sold our condo there two years ago - it's my favorite place in florida!! Did you go to the pier? Did you eat at Pazzo or Tommy Bahamas or Yabba? I'm so jealous! Glad it was fun though.

Ha Ha Starfish, your funny! Did we go here, did we go there? We have an 11 week old baby with us. We were lucky to get out of the hotel for one meal a day.
But we did eat at Pazzo's, it was excellent, (I'm vegetarian and they made me something special with their house butternut ravioli that was so good), probably not an ideal place to take a baby, but we got lucky and he slept in his stroller the entire time.
We didn't make it to the pier, but mostly because we didn't know about it.
Why did you sell your condo in Naples, that place is gorgeous!

What a contrast between Michigan and Florida!!! Glad that Anthony was a good little traveller. Keep taking him out like you did... If you start young, he'll just grow up thinking it's normal. That had to be a benefit of living in New York and taking them for so many "business lunches" on the way to the park. (Katya's favorite foods are miso soup and tempura; Natalia loves pad thai and chicken tikka masala). Good luck on your flight home--and dealing with the cold. Congrats on all your runs! You made me giggle about wanting that treadmill. Egad, the price! You sure would use it, though--out of sheer guilt!

Ugh. I am so jealous. I can't wait to get the heck away from all this snow! I love that picture of the sunset.

It looks like you had a really nice vacation. I really missed not having a beach nearby but then again, I don't really like saltwater either!
