Shopping high's and low's, but first...

He's gone from this...To this... To this.

Just a few days ago he started pulling himself up. Unfortunately he did this for the first time while at Grandma's house, so I didn't get to see it. I told him not to do anything significant for the first time for anyone but me, but apparently he does what he wants when he wants.
He was having a hay day in my junk drawer in the bathroom. I've since replaced the junk with toys.

Now on to the shopping.

This weekend I stocked up on some new Fall clothes for Tony. Old Navy was having a 40% off sale on their new fall stuff. I got a ton of clothes for a great price. Then today, I was shopping at the mall while my car was being serviced, and I wandered into Gymboree. I have always thought Gymboree had better girl stuff than boy stuff, but they had a sale sign, and I'm a sucker for a sale. (You have to be when you have to replace your child's complete wardrobe every season.) Surprisingly they had some pretty cute little boy stuff. They had up to 40% OFF tags everywhere, but I couldn't find much for 40% off, most things were more like 15 or 20. I still picked out a few things on sale, and one pair of pj's that weren't on sale. When I got to the register I discovered they were having a "not on sale, sale". If it wasn't marked down, it was on sale. If it cost less than $20 it was $10, and if it was more than $20 it was on sale for $20. So I had to take all my on sale stuff back and pick out stuff that wasn't on sale because it was a better deal. So confusing, but my little boy is stylin now. Here he is in his new jammies.

I got a tip from another blogger about buying baby clothes on EBAY, I had found a huge lot of new with tags baby boy clothes size 12-18mos, all good name brands for $60. I started to bid on it, and Todd got mad, apparently he thinks all that stuff is stolen and somehow it will be traced back to me and I will get in trouble. So now I am forbidden from shopping on EBAY. Bummer, cause they had some good deals. We watched a dateline episode not long ago about stolen credit cards and how people buy stuff with the stolen cards and then resell it. I'm pretty sure that's where he got the idea that the clothes on EBAY are stolen.

So if anybody has any other ideas as to how they can resell all these expensive clothes new for cheap, that is legal, please fill me in. Maybe I can convince Todd that it is legitimate.

I could never show my junk drawer on film! lol.

I can't believe he's going to be walking before we know it!

Maybe I will have to head to Gymboree. Wonder if the not on sale, sale is good online? That's where I usually Gymboree shop.

The new clothes on Ebay could be that someone works there and gets the stuff at a huge discount and sells it. At the kids' consignment shop where I worked, we had a customer that worked at Gap Kids and she got such deals and would buy stuff and resell it at the consignment shop. It also can be that they get gifts and never use the stuff.

Buy used clothes on Ebay and Todd won't worry about their being stolen.

I love Gymboree as do Tami and the girls. A lot of their clothes come from there. Get on their email list.

Anthony is so cute and before you know it, he'll be walking.

Wow, you got some great deals. I love old navy and Gymboree too. My favorite is The Childrens place. I love their clothes and they have great sale prices. I guess I'm naive but I always thought when people sold new stuff on Ebay that it was maybe their children outgrew it and they never got a chance to wear it or that they bought it new at a garage sale. I do buy a lot of used clothes on Ebay. I just bought 8 pairs of shoes for $20 yesterday.

That is a confusing sale at Gymboree, but maybe they have that every season!
