Jury Duty

I can't believe I got it again! Seems like I just had it, but really it was more like 3 years ago. Anyhow, I am supposed to work tonight and my panel got called for tomorrow. So I get to work all night tonight and then report for jury duty at 8am. doesn't that sound like fun.
I'm hoping it snows tonight more than the expected 3-6 inches and they will cancel due to weather since my back up plan of having someone come in for me the second half of my shift didn't work out.

They do jury duty oddly in my county. At least I think they do. Instead of getting a day of jury duty, you have to be on call for jury duty for a whole week (it used to be a month). So it isn't like I can just take the week off work just in case I get called in. And because I am "prn" at my job, I don't get paid either. So its a double "this sucks" kinda thing.

So everyone cross your fingers for lots and lots of snow tonight!

Well, sucks for you, but I'm not exactly excited about a blizzard either. Although my kids (and many more kids across the county, I'm sure) I wishing on your behalf for a snow day!

Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow ...

Or maybe their will plea bargain at the last minute, that happened when I was selected many, many years ago, we just got settled into court and then got to get up and leave.

Sorry, but I do not want more snow, so I won't be hoping and praying for any for you. But,you know, they may just cancel due to the blizzard conditions that we'll have tomorrow (i.e. 40 mile per hour wind)!

Can't you get out of it when you receive the notice since you don't get paid if you don't work and you are pregnant?

Hoping for lots of snow so you don't have to report.

Bummer! I'll keeps all my fingers crossed for tons of snow (not that it will help me, but for you I'll do it :-).

Last time I got called I had to call in once a week for a month (and I had to serve for 4 days) - so good luck!
