Who'd a thunk?

Blogging is a huge waste of time. I have been such a slacker lately and the more I slack off the easier it is to put it off yet another day. I guess it's like a lot of things in life, when you do it all the time it's so much easier (like exercise) than doing it sporadically. Anyhow, it's summer and Todd is working a lot so when I'm home I have Tony to entertain and that is quite time consuming. So I have decided to slack off a bit with the blog until things lighten up with farming season, because once that happens Todd will be home more and hopefully that will give me a little more extra free time to blog. Oh, and there is the whole training for a half marathon to take up even more of my time. I am up to running 8 miles, this Friday I am going for 10 and I am so not looking forward to it. Hopefully it is a nice cool breezy day.
Also the Olympics are on, and oh how I love the summer Olympics, especially the swimming, gymnastics and diving. I'm looking forward to the women's gymnastics tonight. And, the county fair is this week and I have to take Tony to his first fair. I heard they have vegetarian corn dogs and funnel cakes so I can't wait to get one or two of each, I am running 10 miles on Friday, so it's okay Right?

Oh and one more thing I want to share, Tony has slept through the night for the past 3 nights. No night time feedings and no pacifier checks. I hope it's a new trend for him and not a fluke. Yeah for 10 consecutive hours of sleep! And it only took 8 months to get there.

And... I know your not supposed to start sentences with the word And, and I do it frequently, so sorry if it annoys any of you grammatically correct people out there.

I agree, blogging is a waste of time, and I am the worlds biggest time waster...is waster a word?
Your little boy is so adorable. He always looks so happy. What a blessing.

Yeah of course it's a waste of time. But you are allowed to waste time if you've earned it. People who exercise deserve an extra serving of food. People who clean up after themselves, care for others, make their beds, finish their homework, go to work etc. deserve to waste time blogging. You can't let yourself feel guilty for doing what you enjoy even if you're doing it on your butt.

You inspire me with the running. I cannot fathom running 1 whole mile let alone 10 WOW, you go girl. and yes treat yourself to a gizzillion corn dogs and funnel cakes, you'll just run it off.
YEA for Tony (and you). So glad he's sleeping all the way through.

Yay! Does that mean you didn't make it to the fair today either? Call me if you go tomorrow and I will try to find you!
And I am SO glad I am not the only one who is slacking lately. (Notice I started that sentence with "and" just for you!)But you have posted WAY more than my ONE post I made it to for the month of July. And you are running while I sit on my (increasingly big) butt... nope I take it back. You are not slacking.
It has just been a busy summer for everyone I think.

Wish I didn't miss you tonight at the fair... I would have loved some more pics of Anthony!

That's wonderful about Anthony's sleeping through. It must have been weird the first time you woke up in the morning and realized that you'd had a full night's sleep. I remember that from 36 years ago.

No. Blogging is not a waste of time. You are keeping your family and friends up to date with what is happening in your life. You don't have to call everyone and talk to them or write a letter. And, that saves time!! And I use the word And way too much.

I've been feeling the same way - I figured it was just summer (since I don't have an 8 mont old to blame it on :-) I expect once fall and winter hit there will be more time.

In answer to your question about the fall - I think it was a combination of the bouncy seat and their toddler.

Oh how I understand the whole issue of blogging vs not blogging. When I actually do it, I like it. When I've been slacking (like for the past 6 weeks)The last thing I feel like doing is "catching-up".

Glad to know Tony is finally sleeping through the night.
