The Sweetest Place on Earth!

Yesterday when I came home from work at 9am Todd announced that he and his dad were going to a farm show in Hershey, PA to see some demonstration/explanation of a new fertilizer they may want to use this next farm season. I said they should take Tony, he loves chocolate and how fun would that be to go to the Chocolate factory and see how they make chocolate.... and somehow that turned into let's all go to Hershey! I made a few phone calls and did some rearranging of my work schedule so I was free the rest of the week, and Todd, me and the kids loaded up and were on the road by 2pm. (When Todd's dad found out the whole family was going, he decided he'd stay home. I can't imagine why he wouldn't want to ride in a car with 2 little kids for 9 hours :)) Anyway, we got in late last night and this morning we went to the farm show. I say morning, but by the time we got up, got dressed, ate breakfast and got to the show, it was nearly lunch time. So today was Todd's day (at the Farm Show) and tomorrow is for me and the kids. We are going to the Chocolate Factory and I can't wait. I hope it is fun for Tony, I know Bella could care less, but with Tony's love for chocolate, I really hope he gets excited and understands it all. Well as much as a 2 year old mind can!

Here are a few pictures from the farm show.

Tony had to crawl up and into every tractor there! He didn't seem to mind being there, so long as he was on a tractor.
Bella trying to take a nap, and smelling her blanket. I don't know why, but both my kids do that, they have their favorite blanket that they must have in order to sleep, and they smell it for reassurance that it really is their blanket.
Well she couldn't sleep I guess the farm show was so exciting she didn't want to miss a thing. I finally gave up on the nap let her out of the stroller to get some exercise too.
I was so impressed that he could get up in the tractor all by himself, that when he did it the second time I got my camera out to record it and some guy decided to start talking to me right when I was taping it, it was so annoying. I didn't talk back to him, hoping he would realize what I was doing and stop talking, but he didn't. Just kept on talking.... that's a farmer for ya!

If tomorrow is anything like today, I will have some down time during nap time to blog about the Chocolate Factory!

Planting Dandelions

If you drive by my house and see an abundance of dandelions growing, this is why.



Francie came over the other night and got this on video. She put it on her blog, but I wanted it on mine too, so I can go back and watch it over and over.

Bath in a Bucket

I saw it on TV and I just had to have one. The one I saw on The Today Show was the TummyTub, and this is the EuroSpa tub, but essentially the same thing only half the price. Who'd a thought that putting a baby in a bucket would make bath time so much more enjoyable. Bella really likes it, she totally relaxes in it and practically falls asleep. The old way of bathing her made her cry the whole time. She is a little small for it so I have to be careful with her.

Then I decided to let Tony give it a try. He loves it too, he was so funny in it. I had a hard time getting him in it initially, but once he was in, he didn't want out. I think he sat in there for 45 minutes before I made him get out kicking and screaming.



The other bonus to this bath is it fits in my kitchen sink so it's easy on my back.

Francie and Natalie came over today and wanted to see the tub in action, so we put Tony in and got him on video saying some of his famous words.


P.S. Yes I do realize this is just a glorified bucket.

Picture Time

My sister Natalie recently posted a picture of her and her husband from way back when they first started dating. A whole 3 years ago! She couldn't believe how young and skinny she looked. Well, she still looks young and skinny but then again, we are all our own worst critics. She tagged me to do the same. Unfortunately I don't have any digital pictures from back in 2003 when Todd and I first started dating, so I had to take a picture of a picture to get it on the blog, so it isn't the best quality, but you get the idea.
This was our first vacation together in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Sadly I have a similar opinion of myself as my sister did when she found her picture. Younger and definitely skinnier back then (but I have a really good excuse for not being skinny). I especially think Todd looks younger, and maybe even a little skinnier. Oh well, of course your going to be skinnier when your in your 20's than in your very early 30's.

He loves mandarin oranges, I have been giving him the canned ones for a while now, and today at the store I bought the fresh ones and he ate 4.

Here is some video of Tony walking, after a couple weeks he's gotten much better. The first video shows more but for some reason he is crying, so the second video is just so you don't think he always cries when he walks.

A few pictures to share

I got my computer back and it is as good as new. It definitely had a virus, the hard drive had to be erased and rebuilt. While I had it being fixed I had them back up all my files on an external hard drive, so I don't have to worry about losing my pictures. I think the virus had been brewing for a while because I had noticed how slow it was, but thought it was my internet provider, not my computer. Now that it is virus free, it is so fast.

So now that I have my computer back, I thought I'd share a few pictures... Here is Tony in his wagon he got for his birthday. He loves it, I think we may just keep it in the basement forever. He likes to put toys in it, and then climb inside and play with them. He has a little trouble getting in because it's a bit taller than him, he sort of just bends over it at the waist and the top half of him falls in and then he pulls his legs over the sides. Very entertaining to watch.
My friend Lynette came over for a visit the other day. She had Tony cracking up.He has mastered the stairs now, he can go up and down them quite well now. He likes to go to the basement and play with his toys.
He loves to help me do the dishes. Actually I think he just likes to just climb into the dishwasher. I'm not sure what the weight limit is on the door, but it seems to hold 20 pounds.

Last week he got another haircut. Such a cutie. We couldn't resist taking pictures again. The poor girl who cut his hair is probably wondering if we are going to do that every time. He was pretty well behaved until she brought out the clippers to trim the sides and then he got mad and started screaming. She won him over in the end with a ring pop which he put in his mouth and refused to take out until it was completely gone. I think next time we will give him the ring pop during the haircut, instead of after.


On Sunday my sister Francie and Todd and I took Tony to the beach to get some pictures. Todd was not impressed with our idea, but he came along to make sure we didn't do anything stupid. I think he thought we might walk out on the frozen lake or something. This picture Francie took through and ice ring. Looks pretty cool huh?




And for the grand finale..... take a look at who's testing out his walking legs. He has been taking a few steps here and there for about 5 days now. I've tried really hard to capture it on video but that has proven to be very difficult. This is not the greatest video, but it gives you the idea.

The beginning of a beautiful friendship

Anthony has always liked our dog, our dog, however, runs whenever Anthony comes towards him. The other day, Anthony finally found a way to bond with, and even touch Brewster, and really it helps him out tremendously because he doesn't like to eat, and Brewster does. I see a big problem with meal time in the future because of this. I already have to watch him while he eats, or else I don't know who ate the food, Brewster, or Anthony, but for now, it's cute.

Nobody tell Anthony that he is being used. He really thinks Brewster likes him now.
